Coronavirus Update - 14/03/2020

coronavirus physiotherapy

Good afternoon one and all. With the spread of coronavirus continuing I thought I would provide some information as to how this may affect the Mindfully Active Physio clinic.

My role as a healthcare provider

- As a healthcare provider, the number one priority is ‘Do No Harm’. It is therefore vitally important to maintain the safety of every client

- This becomes increasingly difficult in a time like this where there are so many uncertainties. However, Mindfully Active Physio will do their upmost in trying to prevent the spread of any infection

- This prevention is performed by washing hands and using alcohol based hand gels before and after every client, as well as wiping surfaces down before and after every client

- Providing information, such as this, will also hep to minimise the risk

How this may influence you

- Mindfully Active Physio understand that this virus may cause some disruption to the services you receive

- Should James begin to display signs/symptoms of illness, he will need to self-isolate for a minimum of 7 days, in-line with current NHS recommendations. This may lead to delays or cancellations of your physiotherapy sessions

- Should this be the case, you will not be charged any fees, and you can choose to either rearrange to a later date, or James can refer you to another practitioner

- James is, of course, happy to provide any advice that he can over the phone, which will help you to manage your injuries from a distance

Doing your part

- We all need to take responsibility for safe-guarding one another

- Please be diligent with washing your hands regularly and if you display any symptoms of illness (inclusive of a high temperature or a new, continuous cough) please call James (07969299594) to discuss this before attending your appointment

- Whilst we, individually, may be healthy and resistant to the virus, we equally all know and come into contact with those who are more vulnerable

- If we decide that it is best to cancel/delay your appointment, there will be no charge/fee for this
